Handmade Australian Model House

A wonderful, wonderful thing. A fascinating look at the skeleton of a classic old home.

Believed to be made in the 1950's, this 'to scale' model of an old Australian home is incredible.

We wish we knew the creator of this model, or their family, but it was pulled from an estate long ago and there isn't a trail of it's history.

We see 'to scale' models of components of houses, but we haven't come across a complete house before.

Able to be moved, carefully (due to the size), by one person. It isn't flimsy and holds its structure very well. Made from lightweight but solid timber, not popsicle sticks or the  equivalent.
